Juste apres, nous avons eu une petite reunion autour d'un cafe et gateau.

The water was very very cold 50F....L'eau etait tres tres froide 10C

I was baptise in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

J'ai ete baptise au nom du Pere et du Fils et du Saint Esprit par immersion.

Certains ont joue de la musique: quatre chansons choisis specialement pour ce moment.

A group of friends joined me for that special occasion.Un groupe d'amis se sont joints a moi pour cette occasion speciale.

20 years ago, I went to treatment and died to my physical and emotional life to rebirth to a new one.

20 ans deja, je suis allee en therapie ou je suis morte a ma vie physique et emotionnelle pour renaitre a une nouvelle.

Today, I died to my spiritual life and after accepting Christ as my savior, repenting for my sins and confessing Christ as my Lord I was baptise and reborn in Jesus.

A marvellous experience!!

Aujourd'hui, je suis morte a ma vie spirituelle et apres avoir accepte le Christ comme sauveur, m'etre repenti de mes peches et confesse le Christ comme mon souverain, j'ai ete baptise et je renais dans Jesus.

Une merveilleuse experience!!!

Valentine's Breakfast ...Dejeuner de la St valentin.

Nous avons passe une belle avant-midi.

We had a very nice turnout. 36 persons came for the meal and Tom Shively was present as promise.

Mandolin and later guitar kept us wanting to get up and dance . Thank you so much to the musicians.

Nous avons eu un bon rendement, 36 personnes sont venus pour le repas et Tom qui est notre representant pour l'etat du Missouri etait present comme il avait promis.

Mandoline et plus la guitare nous poussaient a nous lever et danser. Un gros merci aux musiciens

The bake sale table is full of jellies and fruits, cakes, cookies and fudge. Bettie S., Debbie G.and Linda L. surely demonstrated their baker's talents.

La table est pleine de gelees, fruits en conserve, gateaux, biscuits et fudge. Les 3 ont vraiment demontres leur talents de patissieres

6:00 am, Saturday morning, the room is ready, the cooks are at action (Nick, Garry and Jack S.) for the eggs and pancakes while Bettie is frying the sausages. She is the only female allowed in the kitchen (nobody else complained about it) lol...

6 heures du matin, la salle est prete et les cuisiniers sont prets a faire feu( Nick Garry et Jack) pour les oeufset crepes pendant que Bettie fait frire les saucisses. Elle est la seule femme acceptee dans la cuisine...personne ne s'en plaint...lol

I can't wait till 2:00PM Saturday. A moment I was waiting for a long time: my baptism.
Raised catholic, followed the church rules for 25 years....then stayed away from it because of too much confrontation with priest. Never stop praying all these years. That kept me alive and sane....at least to a certain point....lol
2002 a strong desire to workship, went to different churches while moving across North America.
Settle in Ethel, join the Christian Church in August and started to read the Bible, following the best I can the scriptures. I am just a follower of the Christ, in peace with my conscience feeling better knowing I am never alone and I am loved no matter what.
My ministry is to help others and to volunteer as much as I can.

Je suis impatiente d'etre a Samedi 2 heures. Un moment que j'attendais depuis longtemps: mon bapteme.
Elevee catholique, j'ai suivi les principes de l'eglise pendant 25 ans.....puis je suis reste eloigne a cause de trop d'affrontements avec les pretres. Je n'ai jamais cesse de prier toutes ces annees la.
Ce qui m'a garde en vie et saine d'esprit....enfin juqu'a un certain point...lol..
2002, avec un fort desir du culte, j'ai frequente diverses eglises lors de nos deplacements a travers l'Amerique du Nord.
Installee a Ethel, j'ai rejoint l'Eglise chretienne (Christian Church) en Aout 09 et commence a lire la Bible. Je suis un disciple du Christ, en paix avec ma conscience, me sentant mieux en sachant que je ne suis jamais seule et que je suis aimee quoi qu'il arrive.
Ma vocation est d'aider les autres et faire du benevolat quand l'occasion se presente.

Today was the "DAY"........Aujourd'hui etait le "Jour"

SE wind...snow on the ground.......rain expect later this afternoon.............time to burn.

Xmas in the air...Noel est dans les airs

We went to see some Xmas decorations in a town near ours. This is the results: they have collected things for years to get to that point. It covers about an acre, the people are present till nine at night with their costumes. It was really something to see. Enjoy the pictures.

Dans le village voisin, des residents ont decore leur parterre d'un acre avec toutes sortes de decorations du temps des fetes. C'est vraiment une visite a faire. On peut marcher dans les allees prevues pour cette circonstance.

Ils sont presents et en costume jusqu'a 9 heures le soir.

Chili Feed

We had a nice advertisement at the bank in New Cambria. The weather was perfect to say the least: blue sky, no clouds, no wind.

We had a nice turn-out. We served 54 meals. The bake sale went fine and we had very good donations.

We had country music played during the meal by some generous musicians from Ethel and the surrounding areas.

Overall, we are very pleased for our first meal in Ethel.

Wednesday after meeting

Well, we had another 11 people present which means we had a total of 16 different persons assisting to any of them.
We are ready for our Chili Feed on October 17th. We're hoping 100+ persons.
The Ethel Christian Church gave as the basement to hold the Lunch at no cost: very nice of them.
We had our first unsolicited donation today also. Very good day over all.
We need your prayers though....thank you
