Grand son Masin is full of energy and well behave. Except he tells the truth. Masin and I were shopping for a shirt for myself. He was playing hide and find with me then all of a sudden he asked me seriously: How old are you Grand Ma? I told him "a lot of years" but my answer did not satisfied him. After a few request I answered in his ear: 58. And then I heard his very very loud voice saying: 58 Grand Ma that's old!!!!! All the ladies shopping at that time were laughing trying to avoid to look at me.

Don't we say Truth comes out of the kid's mouth???

In Holland we found Ryan working on his boat's motor and glad to see his Dad

We had a great time with Mom & Dad. Dad lost weight and Mom looked younger. The operation for Dad's thumb went well and only time will settle the pain and discomfort.

Michigan

We are now in Branch seeing Mom & Dad & Sis. It took us 2 1/2 hours to go for 18 miles through Toronto on rush hour and heavy rain. We got through the border at sunset and the rain disappeared. We will go to Holland Thursday and Grand Rapids on Saturday to see all the grand kids. We can't wait seeing them all.

Nous sommes a Branch Michigan maintenant voir les beaux parents et la petite soeur a Nick. Il nous a fallu 2 1/2 heures pour parcourir 26km dans le temps du retour du travail et a travers la pluie qui tombe en trombe. Nous irons a Holland Jeudi et Samedi a Grand Rapids voir les petits enfants. Nous avons hate de tous les voir.

Yesterday we spent the day with Andy. We had a great time he is a sweetheart. He started to speak some words in English so Pappy could understand him. Funny. Nick did the same in French. We had dinner with another couple of friends. We went to a chinese buffet... Yum Yum!!!

Hier nous avons passe la journee avec Andy. Nous avons eu du bon temps, cet enfant la est un amour. Il a appris quelques mots dèanglais pour que le Pappy le comprenne et nick a fait la meme chose en francais. Nous avons soupe avec un couple d'amis au buffet d'un resto chinois...Miam miam!!

We saw the girls and Andy yesterday, everybody was happy and in good shape. Nick played with Andy both in their own languages , this was funny to watch. Today we are going to the carnival with Andy and we'll have dinner with some friends tonight.

Nous avons vu les filles et Andy hier et tout le monde est en forme. Nick a joué avec Andy et chacun discuter dans son propre langage, c'était drole a voir. Aujourd'hui nous allons a la foire avec Andy et ce soir nous soupons avec des amis.

Alright: On Sunday we saw Frederick the oldest son, I was thrilled to see him so was he.
Yesterday we went to see Philippe and the twins Kate & Ty. We had a great time and the kids were happy to see us & play with their Pappy who lives far far away.
Tonight we are visiting the girls: Veronique the youngest & Nathalie the oldest girl with Andy (6 1/2 years old). Can't wait to see them all. I will post some pictures on our way back.

Bon: Dimanche nous avons vu Frederick l'aine des gars, j'étais contente de le revoir. Hier nous avons vu Philippe & les jumeaux: Kate & Ty. Nous avons eu du bon temps et les petitous etaient contents de nous voir et de jouer avec leur "Pappy" qui habite tres tres loin.
Ce soir nous allons chez les filles Veronique la derniere et Nathalie l'ainee avec Andy 6 1/2 ans. Je suis impatiente de les voir tous. Je mettrais des photos a mon retour de voyage.

Thursday morning. Nick finished his driving test and he is now taking his writting test. He should be home by 11:00AM.
Then tomorrow July 25th at 9:45AM he goes for his DMV and on the road again.

Jeudi matin, Nick a passe ses tests sur la route & est presentement a faire ses tests ecrits. Il devrait etre de retour a 11:00AM.
Demain matin le 25 Juillet a 9:45AM il va chercher ses licences de chauffeur et puis on prend la route......

We had a nice busy day. We watch the rabbit in the yard this morning while we had breakfeast. Then we cleaned and rearranged the basement. We went for a short drive and had pizza for dinner at home. It was hot and humid but we survived.

Nous avons eu une belle journee tres occupee. Nous avons regarde un petit lievre dans le jardin ce matin tout en dejeunant. Ensuite nous avons arrange le sous-sol . Une petite balade en voiture pour des courses et retour a la maison pour souper avec une pizza. Il a fait chaud (99F)et tres humide (98%)

Friday morning at the head office we were told to do whatever we want to do because they could not get in touch whit anybody to know why they did not schedule Nick for his final training. They will leave a message and it will be okay to start on August 4Th. So...

The luggage were in the car, everything was taking care of for our absence, we had our feet out of the door......and the phone rang.
OPS transportation called to schedule an appointment for Nick on Monday morning 8:00AM for his driving training. A few phone calls to cancel any arrangements we had made, unloading the car and wait for Monday was the alternative.
What a bummer in a way........but a job has priority. We postponed our trip to next week.

Vendredi matin on nous a dit de faire ce que nous voulions car au bureau principal il ne pouvait enter en contact avec qui que ce soit pour donner un rendez vous a Nick pour son dernier "training". Il laisserait un message et le 4 Aout serait un bon temps pour le terminer.

Les baggages sont dans le coffre, tout est sous controle pour notre absence, on a les pieds dehors.....et le telephone sonne.
OPS transport appelle pour donner un rendez vous a Nick pour Lundi matin 8:00AM pour son dernier test. Quelques telephones pour canceller les arrangements que nous avions fait, vider la voiture et attente de Lundi etait la seule alternative.

Quelle deception dans un sens.........mais le travail a la priorite. Nous avons remis le voyage a la semaine prochaine.

A notre retour un troupeau de wapitis mangeait sur des proprietes privees et se promenaient sur la route.

We went for a picnic In Estes Park. We visit and watch the men blowing glass. It was interesting and hot but we learned why it is so expensive. The labour takes between 1 and 3 hours.

Nous avons pique nique a Estes Park. Nous avons visite la boutique d'un souffleur de verre et l'avons regarde fabrique un vase sur demande. Nous avons compris le pourquoi du prix eleve. La fabrication varie entre 1 et 3 heures

Back home since Saturday

Our visit to the Woodlands was great . We enjoyed spending time with the kids & grand kids. It only took us 17 hours to get there (smile)

Notre visite a Houston s'est bien passee, nous avons passe de beaux moments avec les enfants et les petits enfants. Un trajet de 17 heures seukement (sourire)

We went visit the hatchery and we are now in Glenwood Springs . We should be in Brighton either tomorrow night or Wednesday. See you soon

Up to Grand Mesa try to find a place to spend the night if not we'll continue to Riffle and Tuesday we should be in Brighton.

4th of July

We are in Durango CO for the 4Th and leaving tomorrow for Silverton tour the town and go to Ouray. Spent the day and night there visit the museum,hot springs then Paonia and Grand Mesa on Sunday Monday.
