Henry Doorly Zoo May 9th 2008

The school had a visit to the Zoo and Nick volunteered to help push a wheelchair. It was a nice experience and the kids were great.

I feel much better now although I am not 100% but I was back to school by mid week & everything went well.

We went for a visit in Lincoln our Capital & there is pictures from the trip.

Je vais mieux maintenant quoique pas encore a 100% mais je suis retournee a l'ecole mercredi et cela a bien ete.

Nous sommes alles visiter Lincoln, notre Capitale et voila des photos de notre tournee.

What a rough, painfull, miserable week I had for spring break.
Back to the doctor yesterday, had an chest Xray confirming the diagnostic of pneumonia. I was still coughing with fever so they add another antibiotic.
I am so weak but I start the see light at the end of the tunnel......tunnel that I hope I will not see ever again. That experience changed again my purpose in life. I have no control over my life & this was just a reminder of it.

Quelle penible, miserable et douloureuse a ete ma semaine de vacances.
De retour a la clinique hier, les Xray ont confirme la pneumonie. Comme le fievre et la toux etaient encore presentes le docteur a ajoute un autre antibiotique.
Je suis si faible mais je commence a voir la lumiere au bout du tunnel....tunnel qui j'espere ne jamais revoir. Cette experience a encore change ma raison d'etre. Je n'ai aucun controle sur ma vie et cela a ete un rappel.

What a night, fever would not go under 102.8, I was spitting blood, coughing my lungs away , my tongue was double in thickness not helping for breathing. I was miserable. As the day went by I felt a little better the fever dropped to 100 and that helped. Tomorrow if I am not better I will go back to the doctor....something is wrong and it might not be just pneumonia.....in the back of my mind I am scared , there are some cases of tuberculosis in Omaha. Only time will tell

Well, after a really bad night of coughing the fever at raise and being yelled at, I went to the clinic and I was diagnosed with pneumonia. I got some antibiotics and everything should be under control by the beginning of next week.

Apres avoir tousse toute la nuit, la temperature ne voulant pas descendre et ma belle fille qui a crie apres moi, je suis alle a la clinique et le diagnostic est: pneumonie. J'ai des antibiotiques et tout devrait etre sous controle d'ici le debut de la semine prochaine.

Spring Break...Les vacances du printemps

There we are, a week off, time to recharge the batteries. We had Olympics at school yesterday & the young Mathew got 3 medals: first place for 10 meters with walker. second place for 25 m with walker and another first place for 25 m on wheel chair. This was a great experience.
The bad news is 3 of the kids were sick and I am back coughing my lungs away. At least I have a week to get better.

Nous y voila, un semaine de conge, temps pour recharger les batteries. Nous avons eu les Olympades hier et le jeune Mathew a decroche 3 medailles: premiere place pour le 10 m avec marchette, deuxieme place pour le 25m avec marchette et premiere place pour le 25m en chaise roulante. Belle experience. Le revers de la medaille est que 3 des 8 jeunes sont malades et j'ai recommence a tousser a me decrocher les poumons. Heureusement que j'ai une semaine de conge pour recuperer.

Hope all of you are having a great day. For us it is a surviving day. We are both sick: Nick has a sinus infection with a cold, I have a bronchitis and this is my 7th week.....it is getting pretty hard on the lungs and the ribs. Hope by May we feel better

Nous sommes malades les deux: Nick a une sinusite aigue avec la grippe, j'ai une bronchite et cela est ma 7eme semaine.....cela commence a etre dur sur les poumons et la cage thoracique....Je souhaite que nous allions mieux d'ici Mai.
